Welcome to the Brighthelm Centre

We are a busy Community Centre located right in the heart of Brighton, just minutes from the train station and seafront. Established in 1987, we now have a Pre-School, community garden, cafe and chapel on site, and boast a wide range of meeting and performance rooms that we hire out for classes, conferences, weddings, festivals and more. Our core values are faith, community and sustainability, and we aim to support these in everything we do – from offering locally sourced food in our cafe, to offering subsidized childcare places in our Pre-School.

What's Happening

There is lots happening every day at Brighthelm. The centre provides office space for a number of charities and social enterprises delivering services and support to people in Brighton and Hove and beyond.  During the week, Brighthelm Pre-school runs a daily facility for two to five year olds and our café is open to the public providing coffee, cakes, meals and other refreshments.

Every day is different, with the centre typically hosting various different meetings and conferences, lunch time exercise classes and evening leisure activities.  At the weekend, weddings, theatre and parties are the norm and several churches use the venue on Sundays for a range of different styles of Christian worship.
