We have a passion and concern for the needs of the community in this part of central Brighton, but also a clear sight of the need for stewardship in these vital times for the future of the planet. The church and the sustainability movement share many values, in particular concepts like conservation and sustainable living.
- It fits with the URC Mission Document Vision 2020 which fully supports the focus on environmental care and co-operation to find more sustainable patterns of living
- There is nothing else like it in Brighton, a place used by very different groups, that stitches green living into the fabric of the city – the green capital of UK
- It couldn’t be in a better place – the heart of the Pavilion Constituency – being represented by Caroline Lucas MP, Britain’s only Green Party MP and being right in the city centre
- Trustees wish to leave a vital legacy, putting the church back in the centre of life in the city
