16JulyBreathe in Brighton
Breathe in Brighton is an campaign run by Brighton Peace and Environment Centre and Argyll Environmental. Poor air quality can reduce life expectancy by up to 8 months and contributes to over 40,000 early deaths a year and costs the NHS up to £20 billion a year. Its a public health emergency!
Following a successful event last September, we are inviting you to attend the second Breathe in Brighton meeting on the 16th July 4:30-6pm at the Brighthelm Centre. The focus will be to discuss transport and air quality in Brighton, what local organisations and companies are already doing to reduce it and what needs to be done to happen to clean up our air.
The event will include speakers from local transport companies, the council and air quality experts from the University of Brighton. The aim is to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard and help us create and shape the future of Brighton’s transport.
The event is free you just need to register on Event Bright - All Welcome
